Summary

Roasted Garlic Margy was a personal favourite and remains one I regret losing. Few breeders have managed to create such a potent blend of fuel and sharp garlic. The aromas, flavour and potency all make her worth running. Pure gasoline & garlic.

First Hand

GROW REVIEW

Through the pack that I popped, I found that there wasn't huge pheno variation. Most plants were significantly closer to the GMO than their pollen donor. Out of 8 plants which finished flower, all but one showed some sign of colour.

The lone green pheno was decidely OG in nature. Lankier branching structure being a key trait. It was also the only plant in the tent to not have a garlic nose to her. Instead, she was a killer fuel-forward plant with some lemon floor cleaner to her. The flavour was incredible.

For the most part, however, the sisters had a classic GMO garlic nose, but with a distinct sharpness that is often lost in GMO x Cookies-type hybrids. The garlic aromas weren't soft, but rather pungent, sharp and kicked you in the sinus.

When these plants tried, they left the whole room smelling EXACTLY like a mechanic's garage. Grease, oil, fuel, diesel, Just a whole lot of funk!

Structurally, the GMO-dom phenotypes were strong and high yielding. The Frozen Margy leaner, as mentioned, was more lanky and classic OG. So it just depends what you find.

The herm rate was one shortfall for this strain. I found 3 plants consistently hermed under relatively low stress. With that said, my grows weren't exactly consistent back then.

Flowering times varied. The green pheno finished in around 70 days while the more GMO-dom plants easily reached 80-50 days for their peak rankness.

A Connoisseur's

SMOKE REPORT

Roasted Garlic Margy has a distinctly funky, sharp fuel aroma with loads of garlic. The exact profile will depend on the grower's selection - but on average you'll be getting a ton of GMO, with additional mouth coating from the OG/Chem-stacked father.

Aroma

The average aroma profile was notably fuel-forward, competed with only by the raunchy garlic notes. Together they create a deep, dark profile with uncanny similarity to that of a mechanics workshop - somewhat similar to Motorbreath #15 actually.

Bag Appeal

Because Roasted Garlic Margy has strong GMO tendencies, she often doesn't look quite as good as some popular strains going around, with plants still pushing fresh pistillate growth late into flower.

Still, some purple colouration is a consistent feature across most phenotypes and does add some colour to the jar.

There are, however, a few RGM clones with great looks too. Blaze It Panda's cut is one example.

Flavour

This is where the selected lineage really shines. GMO dominant plants can often smell amazing but lack staining power. The Frozen Margy male, with its Chemmy and OG lineage, adds a lot of mouth coating which really enhances flavours.

Most plants consistently gave thick smoke with strong lung expansion. She kicked.

The GMO-leaners were funk and fuel on the pallet, but, the green phenos tend to produce more of a classic lemon cleaner fuel profile.

Potency

Across the board, Roasted Garlic Margy hit hard. Chem D's potency comes through with that slightly dazed, relaxing effect. The lone green pheno was more classic OG type of effects, uplifting, euphoric, but also relaxing.

** Keep in mind, effects are highly subjective, and no strain effects two people the exact same way.
