Summary
A bit of a local legend, Biblica has been going around the Helderberg area for the last couple of years.Â
History & Provenance
It's a clone-only cut selected from a rare, unreleased strain by Lit Farms that crosses Motorbreath #15 (SFV OG x Chem D) with Permanent Marker ((Biscotti x Jealousy) x Sherb Bx). This particular selection was made by @Her_High_Er_Self , who partook in the competition has incredibly fuely dank funk. Some solid Chem D attributes coming through that is reminiscent of GMO.
GROW REVIEW
Biblica's morphology has similarities to classic OGs, but not as spindly. Still, she likes quite a bit of light in veg to maintain a sturdy structure through the stretch. Too much stretch and you'll need to stake her up, not a bad idea anyway.
In flower she likes a fairly large feed, but she does have a genetic tendency to get leafy so less is more on the nitrogen side.
By week 4 she usually starts to show some colour (environment dependent), and by late flower is usually a mix of green and purple. In winter she can really go quite dark. When breeding with her in a different environment, we noticed that under more blue light she can almost turn black.
Yields are good, and with enough light, feed and canopy management you can get a real nice yield from her. She'll be stinking up your grow room by week 6 and your drying space will soon smell like a garage (petrol, grease, earthy goodness).
SMOKE REPORT
I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to smoke. Maybe I've been spoiled for choice - but it takes a lot to impress me. Biblica is a cut that I keep wanting to smoke more of. The aroma and taste aren't for everyone, but if you like fuel and slight garlic funk - then you'll love it.
If you've ever worked with the GMO, Biblica will have a familiar aroma, but with more fuel and a bit more earthiness. When I think of my perfect terp profile, this is almost exactly it. There is a slightly hint of floral perhaps that adds a touch of sweetness, but it's deep in the mix.
One of the weaker traits of the Biblica clone is its slightly leafy flowers. However, when trimmed up she hardly ever shows that leafiness. I think it's offset by the large bracts and good looking flower structure as a whole. In the bag, she's a solid 7/10, especially with the colour she brings.
She translates well on the smoke, you get a lot of those same dank, funky elements. The flavour lingers a decent amount, with moderate mouth coating. This is something that I hope to improve when I work with her. But otherwise, near full marks from me personally. A savoury delight.
Enjoyable and uplifting effects. I found it creatively beneficial and I especially like the relaxed, euphoric effects that carry through - smokes a bit like an OG.
