Summary

A loud, potent hybrid between two amazing legends. Gorilla Glue leaners provide unrivaled stickiness that will jam up any grinder, while chem-heavy phenotypes fill the jar with dank, chemmy funk. Plants with both parents traits coming through were the clear winners.

First Hand

GROW REVIEW

When I grew these out, I only popped a few beans, 3 I believe. So I didn't get the best look at the gene pool. However, from those seeds that I popped I kept one particular plant around for its incredibly sticky and stinky flowers.

I remember two of the plants were Chem D leaners. Quite the lookers, but also somewhat muted. If you've grown a lot of chem gear, you'll know what I'm talking about. There is often a tendency for Chem to be muted, but when she's at full force you'll get a very different experience.

I found that powerful funk in the plant I kept around. It was not nearly as strong and tall as the Chem D leaners, instead stretching out in every direction. Required plenty of stakes.

The extra effort was worth it, with the plant providing some outstanding smoke. Thick thick smoke that hits the lungs like a truck, with enough stickiness to stop just about any grinder in its tracks.

The winner was distinctly more colourful than the Chem D leaners, with strong hues of red, orange and purple.

Most ran between 70 and 80 days.

HOW SHE BREEDS

The keeper cut was used in a breeding project using Headbanger from Karma Genetics as the pollen donor to create the strain GHB. Although only some of the progeny was hunted through, results were promising.

The Chem D aroma came through strong in the seeds that were run out, and potency was reliably strong.

The one area that leaves room for improvement is that some phenotypes are quite squat.

A Connoisseur's

SMOKE REPORT

Two of the three plants were good, but not outstanding. The other one, the keeper, provided excellent flavours, tons of bag appeal and great effects.

Aroma

While my run only provided the raunchy, greasy chem profile and a more muted expression in the others - I know other growers who have found a range of nasty chem funk out of these girls.

Bag Appeal

Chem can look a little mediocre when compared to modern varieties, in a bag. But that's where the GG4 came through clutch, the keeper pheno looked amazing - with dense trichome coverage.

Flavour

Like their aroma profile two of the three plants were a little more muted. But the keeper's flavour was just as good as its smell. It lingered extensively on the pallet and carried with it layers of chem funk and greasy fuel.

Potency

Very relaxing, quite potent. But wasn't particularly different from most chem-type smokes, maybe a bit more OG-like with the euphoric aspect.
