Summary

Hells Bells is a discontinued release by Swamp Boys. It crosses Legend OG with their robust GMO/TK Skunk male. The outcome is a strain with deep funk, savoury elements and a bit of citrus up front on the Legend OG leaners. Hard hitting smoke with lots of funk.

First Hand

GROW REVIEW

If you've ever grown out any of Swamp Boys GMO/TK Skunk crosses, you'll know that they pass down incredible vigor and branching. Even during the vegetative stages, this strain was vigorous, with sturdy lateral branching.

Going into flower they had mostly average stretch, with the exception of one or two plants which had a more classic OG, longer stretch to them (larger internodal spacings).

But across the board all plants had strong branching, with very little staking required out of them.

Flowering times were relatively consistent in the 65 to 75 day mark, most running closer to 72. The room reeked something heavy, even in the high summer temps that they were running in.

The #1 was the standout pheno, with dense trichome coverage and a sweeter, almost tennis-ball like aroma and flavour, in conjunction with savory fuel.

A Connoisseur's

SMOKE REPORT

Hells Bells isn't a strain for everyone. Many find it too savory for their personal tastes, while others love its complex, deep earthy, fuel and garlic aromas.

Aroma

Hells Bells has a pungent aroma, with some phenotypes being a bit sweeter with a tennis ball element. Cracking the jar of most phenos produced a dank, earthy and garlic aroma.

Bag Appeal

Aesthetically, she was unlikely to excite most of the modern market. Classic green weed, with dense trichome coverage on a few of the cuts. She turned golden quite quickly in the jar, something often seen in OG Kush.

Flavour

Aromas translated quite accurately on the smoke, with the same garlic forward, earthy fuel expressions. The mouth coating varied quite a lot between cuts through, and two stood out in particular for their mouth coating.

Potency

Effects were strong, in line with what one would expect from the lineage. Relaxing across the board, with euphoria being more predominant in the tennis ball-smelling phenotypes.
